Description

Okay...after many trials and tribulations the dual 132 system is now up and walking in the Beevo Dome. Phew... Last night I pointed at a different section of the Gamma Cygni Nebula in Cygnus, centering on HIP 100268. The problem with that centering is that the star screams at you from the center of the image! But I won't complain, just need to learn how to dodge it a little in PS so it's not so loud.

The system performed well, really no glitches. It allowed me to collect data using different filters simultaneously on two matched scopes/cameras. Subs are captured using SGP on separate computers, and fed to separate portable HDs. I collected over 8 hours of data in just over 4 hours of imaging time.

The OIII for this target was really weak, even at 4+ hours, and not helped by the high cirrus that dominated much of the session. Nonetheless, I am pleased as punch at the success of the project and very excited to now put it to good use. I will need to do a bunch of tidying up of cables etc. in the Dome today, but that's the easy part.
