A quick shot at the sun today. The D-ERF had arrived last week, but there’s wasn’t any time with a clear blue sky to enjoy this

Thanks to a swift delivery from TeleSkop-Service, the ASI174mm arrived early, and there was a quick opportunity, a small patch of veiled blue sky amidst the clouds floating by

Two test images, focused on the region around AR3112 and AR3116, 2ms exposure, 30s each

Wanted to do more, capture some prominences, try out the Barlow 3x, but the clouds decided otherwise. Finding the right sun-colour remains an artistic soul-search

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
