The Elephant's Trunk Nebula is an iconic object that I've wanted to take a try at for some time. The clear sky Gods worked with me early in Aug to allow me the opportunity. This image was taken using LHaRGB processing as I'm a big fan of the deep reds contrasted against the dark nebulosity in the image. This is also my first image completely processed in PixInsight outside of stamping on the watermark in PS.
