Description

A distant traveler from far out in our solar system’s Oort Cloud. Last seen 50,000 years ago. A truly once in a lifetime event.

C/2022 E3 ZTF is a long period comet that was discovered on March 2, 2022 by the Zwicky Transient Facility. After this flyby the comet may never be seen again. The outbound trajectory shows that it will either be ejected from the solar system altogether or return in millions of years.

A few things that stood out to me while processing this data were the amount of small background galaxies and galaxy clusters.
