Description

NGC 4945 is one of the brightest galaxies of the Centaurus A/M83 Group, and the second brightest galaxy in the subgroup centered on Centaurus A.

Its apparent size is 20' x 3' and apparent magnitude 9.3. It is distant from Earth by 11.3 million Light Years.

The image was taken with 20 frames of 10 minutes using a Explore Scientif 127mm f/7.5 APO telescope and a ST8300C CCD. Image guided with a lodestar on a NEQ-6 GEM. Flats, darks and bias applied
