Description

Pythagoras crater is located near the northwestern limb of the moon. The crater has an oval appearance due to the oblique viewing angle. The floor is flattened, but with an irregular, hilly surface. In the center is a sharp, mountainous rise with a double peak that ascends 1.5 kilometers above the crater floor. Its diameter is 120 km .The terraced walls height reaches 5000 m.The lack of internal impact craters suggest that it is relatively "young".
