Description

Some progress had been made when this data was taken.   The right ascension gear had been tightened up just a tad.  This allowed the scope to track just a little bit better... however the overall gear mesh is still very loose, not providing enough accuracy for reasonable guiding yet.    Currently we are 'loosely' guiding, but mostly tracking our images at over 3000mm focal length.  Weak signals are still very faint, and are mostly hidden under noise.

For those who do not know about the Edwin Ritchie telescope, we are located west of Seattle in the smaller town of Bainbridge Island and are part of the Battle Point Astronomical Asssociation.   The Ritchie is a 0.7 Meter (27Inch) F/4.5 telescope.   Originally designed as a visual scope inside our observatory, changes are in progress to to convert it into a imaging platform.  There are many upgrades yet to still happen!   Follow us for more!
