Description

A fun Ha enhancement of a OSC image. Even after 65 subs at 300 sec, the nebula was not very impressive (see image b). All of my attempts using NBRGB combo in pixinsight were less than successful, so I  tried s new process in photoshop described on TAIC.  Let me know what you think?

NGC 1396 A is a large column of gas within the larger interstellar gas cloud and open cluster of NGC 1396.  Located in the constellation of Cephus, the formation is roughly 2,400 light years from earth and the tower column is thought to be nearly 20 light years in height. New star star formation is clearly occurring and several large new stars can be seen in the column with some at the end of the trunk evacuating the gas through solar winds.
