Description

I was headed towards Cygnus X-1 aboard the Rocinante and decided to stop over at the Orion region for some R&R and to meet some of my old Orionid friends. I thought this view was nice so I snapped the pic from the upper deck of the Rocinante while in spaceport. I really love this area. Highly recommended if you haven't already visited. I plan on returning in the next few years as long as the traffic isn't too bad on the Einstein-Rosen bridges. Next time I'll probably bring a few more warm sweaters as it's a bit cold here. Cold enough that my co-pilot's head instantly froze solid when he stuck his face outside the airlock to smell the fresh hydrogen gas clouds. Sure, he wasn't too bright, but I'll miss his jokes.

While I'm here I'll do the usual touristy tour and head over to the Horsehead for the night life in the red light district. I hear there are a few new stars in the area that were not here last time I visited. From there, I'll hop on over to the Flame Nebula for some freshly caught squamplach and bok-bok globule soup. On the way back to spaceport in Orion, I'll briefly stop over at the Running Man long enough to catch a show and maybe pick up some new spacesuit urine catheters and some anti-gravity workout pants.

If you do plan to visit the region, be sure to heed the warnings about the Sulphur-II areas. They are known to harbor probers. Supposedly they are using sleep paralysis drops in the humanoid's drinks now in the local bars. The Jedi have promised to curb this crime wave but apparently they are spending more time battling the cloners in the outer realm. If they keep up their political promises is anyone's guess but, here's to hoping the force will be with us while we're visiting.
