Description

IC2169 is quite near the Cone Nebula and does not appear to be imaged nearly so much because so much of the beauty lies deep into the dark dust. This is a really complex area full of the very bright reflection nebula itself as well as lots of dust and many bright knots with mostly reflection.  My local conditions are really a bit too bright to do this beautiful area justice but it is great fun to try.  I imaged this off and on using Stella the SW Esprit 120 at F/5.6 and QHY924M during fairly dark and clear periods from October in early January.

As always thanks so much for looking!
