Description

NGC 5189, a.k.a Spiral Planetary nebula, Gum 47, or IC 4274, a  complex planetary nebula in Musca ~1780-3000 light years away and  1 light year across. Most recent studies put it as a quadrupolar nebula with multiple symmetrical interactions and flows with a low-mass Wolf-Rayet star at its center.
