Description

The "bubble" is a fascinating object, produced by a star of the Wolf-Rayet type, named after the two astronomers from the Paris Observatory who discovered this type of star in 1867 by spectroscopy.
This bubble is of considerable size it extends over 10 light years in diameter.
Top left the open cluster M52, located between Earth and the Bubble Nebula some 500 light years away.
Image has been taken with FSQ106 / ASI2600MC (27x300sec) using Optolong Extreme filter.
