Description

Yes, according to NADA, a  super-hot, massive star is blowing an enormous bubble of material into space.  The star forming the bubble is 45 times more massive than our sun. As the surface of the bubble’s shell expands outward, it pushes into denser and higher-pressure regions of gas on one side of the bubble. This imbalance makes the star appear dramatically off-center from the bubble. The nebula is around 7,000 light years away with a diameter of about 7 light years.

I have seen this classified as a Planetary nebula, but the NASA website labels it an emission nebula.   Either way it is a cool area of space and a very unique object.

Also seen is M52 a star cluster that is estimated to be between 3,900 and 5,000 light years away.  Galactic dust and high interstellar absorption of light makes determining distance difficult.
