Description

This was a night to remember, wild camping on the north west coast of Scotland. Jupiter reflecting bright in the sea just out of frame to the left, the haze of the milky way stretching out from the southern horizon overhead out towards the north. Multiple bright meteors leaving behind 15-20 second burnup streaks across the sky. From 58 degrees north you can see the Lagoon Nebula just above the horizon to the Elephant's Trunk Nebula at the top of this frame taken with a 14mm  lens. The slight banding at the bottom is haze / thin clouds just above the horizon and I've just let the sea/islands at the bottom of the frame blur from stacking. Taken over 16 mins just as darkness had descended.
