Description

This one has been quite tempting to process, as seeing conditions where
not ideal during the two nights when I captured the frames.
It was a good opportunity to try some new processing methods I have been
thinking about for a while. As most of the frames showed somehow blurry
stars, despite being well focused, I only used about 30 frames LRGB for
creating the star image. I processed the image until I was satisfied with how
the stars looked like and then used StarXTerminator to separated the stars
and dumped the nebula image.
Then I did the same, using all LRGB frames, again used StarXTerminator and
this time dumped the star image and kept the nebula image.
After processing them separately, the star and starless image were combined
and finally processed in Photoshop, where I also added the starless signal from
the Ha frames I had captured. I subtracted the red signal from the Ha signal and
blended it into the LRGB image.
Turned out to be a good method to "rescue" the stars when seeing conditions are
not on your side and I'm quite happy with the result.
Hope you like it.

CS,
Michael
