NGC 7789 (also known as Caroline's Rose, Caroline's Haystack or the White Rose Cluster) is an open cluster 7600 light-year away in Cassiopeia that was discovered by Caroline Herschel in 1783. Her brother William Herschel included it in his catalog as H VI.30. William's son, John Herschel, later re-observed it and included it in his turn in the General Catalog of Nebulae and Clusters with number 2284.
