Description

The Pelican Nebula (IC 5070) is a roughly 30 light-years across emission nebula approximately 1,800 light-years away, located in the constellation of Cygnus (the Swan). The name is derived from its resemblance to a pelican. It is the home of new born hot massive stars.The data was collected over one night (bortle 4), 18 June 2021, in Ha, SOII and OIII.

The image is a combination of HOO and SHO processed images.
