Two synthetic L's were created. The first from the sum of all three narrowband channels, which was sharpened via deconvolution. This L was used to add overall sharpness and contrast as usual for LRGB rendering.
The second L from just the sulfur data, sharpened with PI's MMT, this to add 3-dimensionality to the scene due to the wide distribution of intensities in the many structural details of the nebula present in the sulfur image alone, enhancing the ForaxX palette tonality. To add the second L, after stretching it, I applied it as a mask while trimming color tones and brightness/contrast in PI's CurvesTransformation process.
