Also known as Caldwell 83, NGC 4945 is a barred spiral galaxy in the constellation Centaurus.  X-ray observations show that NGC 4945 has an unusual energetic nucleus which is suspected to be a supermassive black hole.

This photo combines Ha with LRGB data from Telescope Live's 24 inch Planewave telescope in Chile.  The amazing details, including the bright red emission nebulae in the galaxy, are brought out by the telescope's amazing 3962mm focal length.
