NGC 281-Pacman Nebula (First Light with the HEQ5 Belt Modification)

Sunday 1st August 2021 Weather partly cloudy with clear spells, time to take my rig out of hibernation and test my HEQ5 Belt Modification, time 22:11 GMT.

The plan
1. To use the Latest Autofocus Routine in Astrophotography Tool APT (2021)
2. To use the new multi star guiding in PHD2 .
3. How to set up my Rig faster.
4. Let my system run when I watch TV.

What happened next.
1. Could not get my QHYCCD Polemaster to work for precise Polar Alignment.
2. Happy with the APT Autofocus and delighted with PHD2 multi star guiding.
3. Put on the Bahtinov Mask to compare APT Autofocus (Very good).
4. Started my image sequence.
5. All is well some clouds in the distance, PHD2 working like a dream ( the best results ever).

The Final image .

1. out of 36 Lights got 27 (Clouds)
2. Processed my image in Pixinsight WBPP 2.0 ( worked a treat).
3. The big moment has arrived , The image looks OK , Only problem the stars are egg shaped.
4. The problem was my mounts leg was loose a basic mistake.

Any way my Daughter Moya likes the image so here it is , please enjoy and thank you all for your wonderful support.

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
