Description

I recorded pulsating star SZ Lyncis all night last Friday to Saturday night. It worked out nicely . The 3rd cycle had quite a few clouds and poor transparency in it thoughThis is a Delta Scuti variable star. The star shrinks and gets hotter and brighter (rising to the peak). After that the radiation pressure pushes the shell out again. The expanding gas cools and therefor get less luminous. (falling brightness). At some point the shell has expanded enough that it becomes transparent again for the light pressure to escapes and the shell falls in again, starting the cycle all over. The B-V index that says something about the color temperature is easy to read by the difference between the Blue and Green magnitude at any given point.Telescope: SW 150/750pdsmount: SW HEQ5camera: QHY294MFilters: Baader RGBCalibration of individual frames in PixInsightAnalysis in VPhot of AAVSOData has been uploaded to AAVSOStacking and post-processing for the image done in PixInsight.

Title: animation of the brightest and faintest point of SZ Lyncis (RGB)

Description: I took the 10 brightest and faintest frames in R G and B channels and processed those exactly the same in Pixinsight. Using the same instances of curves transformation for brightening and color saturation.
