Description

IC-1848 at the left, often called the Soul Nebula, or the Embryo Nebula because of its resemblance to a human embryo, and the Heart Nebula at the right, IC-1805, are part of a huge star forming region that lies in  the Perseus arm of our galaxy.  They are at a distance of 6000 light years, and the pair together are 580 light years across.
