Description

NGC 2170 or the Angel Nebula is a celestial canvas splashed with colour and dusted with starlight. Located roughly 2,400 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros, this reflection nebula ignites the imagination with its delicate tendrils and wispy forms. The nebula's namesake shines brightly, reflecting the light of young, fiery stars nestled within. Its ethereal blue hues, born from dust particles scattering starlight, are reminiscent of angel wings outstretched across the cosmic canvas. Interspersed amidst this celestial tapestry are dark absorption nebulae, like cosmic shadows cast against the luminous backdrop. A vibrant tapestry of stars in the background completes the composition, adding depth and perspective to this celestial panorama.
