Description

The Spaghetti Nebula is an extremely difficult DSO even at the first stage of its imaging. It's faint, especially the OIII component. It should be captured under a really dark sky, not in the Bortle 9+ location. I saw images of the Spaghetti created with around 50h of acquisition and they are masterpieces. I had an ambitious plan to capture it, but at around 27h I checked my subframes using PI/SubframeSelector and I was surprised when I realised that I had to delete over 12h of the subs, mostly the OIII, so I stayed with less than 15h. I found out that the high clouds are the biggest problem. They brightened the sky so much that the PSF Signal Weight was often lower than 0.15

I'm going to leave it as it is now, just weak HOO without RGB stars. The object is night after night closer to a high tree on the West side of my horizon, so I waste time, while I could focus on other DSOs. Of course, clouds and rain don't help. Hopefully, I can come back to it early next season.

A difference between the Ha and the OIII:
