Description

This is Drechsler 29 (PNG 051.5-01.7), a potential previously unknown planetary nebula in the constellation Eagle (Aquila). This nebula was discovered by me in 2019.

This PN has never been photographed before!

Which ambitious astrophotographer would like to take the first photo of this probable PN?

Drechsler 29 is extremely faint, so you will need to have a lot of patience!

Important data about the object:

Coordinates: 19:32:45.83 +15:43:12.57 (J2000)

Constellation: Eagle

Diameter: 6.2 arcminutes

Of course I will be happy to answer any questions about the PN!

Important requirements are:

- a telescope with very high focal length ( 2000 to 6000 mm)

- narrow band filter set H-alpha and OIII with a bandwidth of 4 to 7 nanometers)

- RGB filter set

- a mono camera (CMOS or CCD)

- a very dark location, at least Bortle 3, better Bortle 2

Depending on telescope and sky quality I calculate an exposure time of 50 to 100 hours!
