Description

The Hyades cluster is the closest star cluster to Earth, at a distance of 150 light-years.
This distinctive cluster is very easy to spot in the night sky, because it has the distinctive shape of the letter V.
The Hyades are a prominent feature of the night sky lying in the constellation of Taurus.
The bright star Aldebaran ranks about 15th in apparent brightness and is part of the V.
