It was really the limit of the gap between Jupiter and its two satellites to present them on the screen.
I imaged Europa and Ganymede together at the end of the session, then placed them back at the reference time given by WinJupos.
I'm always amazed that you can realize the physical nature of these two moons with amateur instruments.
Europa is so white because it is smooth and formed of water ice and Ganymede is darker because of a partly cratered surface.
I remember a time when my vision of Jupiter was just a big white dot where you could barely make out two equatorial bands and its four main moons like a procession of stars...S/N orientation.

C’était vraiment la limite d’écart entre Jupiter et ses deux satellites pour les présenter à l’écran.
J’ai imagé Europe et Ganymède ensemble en fin de session, puis replacées à l’heure de référence donné par WinJupos.
Je suis toujours aussi surpris que l’on puisse se rendre compte de la nature physique de ces deux lunes avec des instruments d’amateur.
Europe si blanche car elle est lisse et formée de glace d’eau et Ganymède plus sombre de par une surface en partie cratérisée.
Je me souviens d’une époque ou ma vision de Jupiter n’était qu’un gros point blanc ou l’on devinait à peine deux bandes équatoriales et ses quatre lunes principales comme un cortège d’étoiles…Orientation S/N

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.
Promotions by Reviewers When 3 distinct Reviewers promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for IOTD status.
Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
