Description

Introducing the Veil Nebula, in the constellation Cygnus and at a distance of 1470 light-years is located what remains of a supernova.
The star that originated this object exploded several millennia ago, and what is now visible are very faint filaments still expanding.
It is thought that within a few millennia this "wonder" of the boreal sky will disappear,
because a great rate of expansion also corresponds to a high rate of dispersion of its matter, which will soon exhaust its energy received during the explosion,
and will disperse into the interstellar medium, somewhat like all of us "almost" without a trace.
