Description

M31, The Andromeda Galaxy. Represents about 3 hours of data (RGB) collected over the last few nights. I've been steadily working towards an automated setup based around CCD Commander and my Foster Systems Roof Controller/Weather Station. This data was really just a bonus as the idea was to make sure the roof would open and close on its own with no user intervention. This also was a test case for switching to Focus Max. I had previous problems with it and was not looking forward to attempting it, but after following their new(er) HOWTO, it makes much more sense and worked.

Of note, I did do something I don't normally do to process this. I took out the luminance portion of the image early on and ran deconvolution on it. It really steadied up the stars and made it 'cleaner'. I think I will try this on future images and see how it comes out.
