Description

Courious to see how my first remote PN shot turned out and it didn't do too well. Mistakenly decided to waste 20 min on SII instead of investing the same time on OIII or H-alpha. Plus usual rafter of tracking issues meant only a subset of the total was good enough. And seeing was kind hit and miss for some of the shots. Bottom line: I couldn't push contrast as much as I'd have wished for but the overall look seems to be right, for a non-RGB shot anyway.

One good thing, and unplanned too, is I got another PN in the frame. And not like those sub-arcsecond ones you might in other parts of the sky but a fully fledged bi-polar PN, PK358 -07.2, to the right and above NGC 6563. This is exceedingly rare.
