Description

M81, also known as Bode's Galaxy or NGC 3031, is a spiral galaxy located in the constellation of Ursa Major. It stands out as one of the brightest galaxies that can be seen from Earth and is observable with small telescopes or binoculars under dark sky conditions. M81 is relatively nearby, situated approximately 12 million light-years from us.

A few weeks ago, I "captured"  M82; despite the unfavorable weather conditions in the latest weeks, I was determined to photograph M81. Thus, I seized the opportunity during this tuesday night of clear sky to photograph M81. I took around 30 shots with exposures of 180 seconds each for the RGB filters, in addition to 40 Ha exposures of 300 seconds.

While it might not be exceptional, the desire to process these images was quite strong

Hopefully, we'll have clearer skies in the near future.
