Description

This is an image of the Messier 3 globular cluster, also known as NGC5272, taken from my bortle 6/7 backyard over 3 nights in late March/early April 2023. This cluster is one of the largest and brightest, and is made up of around 500,000 stars and is estimated to be 11.4 billion years old. It is centered at 32,600 light-years from earth. The image was captured using NINA and processed in Pixinsight.
