Description

"Sharpless 2-112 is a diffuse emission nebula in Cygnus, located on the surface of a huge sphere of cold, molecular hydrogen. The nebula is illuminated by an intensely hot, young star, seen at the center. The star has about 30x the mass of our sun and radiates strongly in ultra-violet." - Sky and Telescope

I took this image in some of the worst conditions I've dealt with yet, with temperatures at the start of the imaging run around 83 degrees F. That's not good for an uncooled camera . I had several other versions with a brighter nebula region, but the background suffered due to the low quality of the data. It was nice, though, to get out and image on a rare cloudless night.
