Description

Every time I come out to set up my scope, my eyes wander through the sky. Each and every time they land on the blurred dots that resemble this classic DSO. The last time I captured them was on a full moon night - this time I decided to update my photography with a new moon version. Even if both captures has exactly the same setup and exposure times, the amount of detail increased drastically.
Ever since I saw the first frame of this beautiful object, I knew that I'll shoot it on a regular basis. Not only because of it's appearance  or interestingness, but also because it's such a bright iconic target that helps you to quickly test new equipment/focus/etc.

M45 - Pleiades aka "Seven Sisters":
They formed approximately 125 million years ago out of the same giant molecular cloud. Those 400-1000 young stars shine bright blue from about 444 light years distance. They form the most obvious cluster to be seen with the naked eye in the night sky. The reflection of their light on interstellar dust lead to the iconic blue nebulae. Other than globular clusters, those few young stars are only lightly bound by gravity and will disperse into separate paths over the next few hundred million years. Together with the Hyades, they form the "Golden Gate of Ecliptic" within the constellation of Taurus. Since all planets move very close to the ecliptic, they are regularly "passing through" this gate.
