Description

This is my first attempt of a 20+ hours project. Final image 2x2 binned before uploading.

I gather 21.3 hours of integration time over 11 nights, before I decided that I don't like the framing (should've included more filament to the bottom left, and this frame doesn't fit in a bigger mosaic) and stopped getting more data.

The nebula layer was constructed from 20hrs of HOO data mapped to RGB, then a SCNR filter with Maximum Mask method was applied in Siril. This created the red-orange-white-blue color scheme. I removed the stars from the HOO palette using starnet v2 and replaced them with RGB stars.

This image also features the mysterious interstellar "contrail" (also called as "Warp Trail") first noticed by some amateur astronomers (see Boyang's twitter thread https://twitter.com/byspto/status/1451982660193161217 for more info), the trail is located at bottom left of the image.
The true nature of this collimated Ha structure/contrail is still unknown.
