Description

I finally did it... I send my old pre millennial 11'' SCT into temporal retirement.
In its place, a 10'' GSO RC is now serving my astronomical needs....

As a first target, I choose the Iris nebula.
I've manged to acquire a decent Image of the Object for an SCT (at least that's what I think ).
So I was eager to compare both results.

Despite that, such comparisons are always a bit 'sketchy', cause too many factors will differ.
It seems choosing a slightly smaller RC was not one of my worst Ideas and finally I've got 'pointy' Stars

Regarding the Image...
While the stacked Luminance image is really fine IMHO
There were some strong Halos and Gradients in the RGB frames,
especially with the Green Frames.
Maybe it was just the Moon, maybe there is a problem with my Flats, or maybe something completely different.
Guess I have to simply gain some experience with the new Scope and how to best process its images.

Long story short... I not totally satisfied with the colors, but that's complaining (whining) at a high level
That aside, for a first Image of a new Scope I'm Happy

Description: Turns out the exported PNG File was much brighter than expected, so I corrected that.
The size was also changed to give the image a sharper 'feel'
