Description

This was my first comet attempt and one of the first times I used the ASI AIR Pro. Was very complicated processing needed to separate the background from the comet, pix insight comet alignment worked but I couldn’t easily filter out the background in the comet master and ended up using GIMP by hand with a Surface pen to cut out and paste the comet into the background master. I just got lucky, I was testing out the air with my gt102, ASI6200MC and GEM45EC and PANSTARRS 2017 T2 showed up in the tonight’s best list. I didn’t even expect to actually see the comet but when I did and saw a slew of galaxies around it I knew I wanted to capture this so I spent all night getting data. This was Spring 2020, I will need to go back to my data to get the exact date. Been sitting on this one for most of the year. Hope you like it.
