Description

I've captured M101 with the newest supernova SN 2023ixf.    This is just a couple of hours of integration using a TEC180 and OSC camera.   It was taken fairly high in the sky at the meridian over 2 nights this week.    My first supernova image.

Description: Darkened and desaturated the background a bit.. it showed a bit too bright on my Macbook (yuck)

Description: Another try, my background was still too bright and mottled. I use a calibrated and expensive monitor which looked beautiful, but when using a laptop or ipad, the background shows very bright and mottled. Here is another try and fixing it.
