Description

This view presents a curious lunar formation Rimae Hippalus, interesting to image two days after the first quarter because of an ideal lighting to better reveal the relief.

These are large grooves drawing concentric arcs. The maximum length of the system (north-south) is about 240 km.

One of the grooves crosses the Hippalus crater, filled with lava and partially preserved.
