Description

My initial DSLR Deep space photography last fall with my new telescope.

The Crab Nebula is a supernova reminant with the initial supernova being document in 1054. The supernova brigthness could be seen for 23 days during the day time and 654 nights. The nebula is about 6,300 light years from earth. Named the crab nebula because it was thought to look like a crab in the 1840s.
