Description

This is the galaxy in which I got by far the most capture time on as I could append it to the end of any other session that got obscured early in the night.
It wasn't the greatest season for capturing either due to the record clouds and lack of targets accessible from my yard, so this one just kept gaining.

While I didn't upload every date in the attached details as the editor was buggy, I made captures on 16 days between Feb 11 2023 and May 30 2023.
There were definitely a lot of crappy nights where I cut a lot of shots, but I still ended up with a lot, which isn't great for WBPP as it took 257 hour to complete :|

For some reason my i9-12900k with 64gb of ram was only running at 5-6% utilization during the L Integration, so it took forever, but when it got to drizzle (which I was worried would take wayyy longer) it finally went back to using 100% of my 16 cores and a pile of RAM, which heated my room to 28 degrees for the day and finished it "relatively" quickly.

I definitely like to add colour to my works, so it's more vibrant than some of the lighter blue and airier pictures out there (which I do really like by the way!), but it's also harder to copy that style I think with such a short focal length as everything is so squished together (or I can just never get the colours right). This image is heavily cropped.

The picture uses Ha + LRGB and a host of all the techniques I've learned so far thanks to Masters of PixInsight.
