Description

Plato is one of the major targets of the Lunar astrophotography .

A good photo of Plato must show at least a 3 or 4 smaller craters present on your floor always tint darker than the adjacent land .

But it is well known all over atrofotógrafo worth its salt that is not easy to get these small craters show on your floor and for this to occur certain conditions must be met.

Firstly speaking of the ideal reflectors is an opening not less than 250mm , not that it is impossible to record them with a 200mm or even 180mm , but 250mm up very easy .

Secondly the angle of incidence of the light Solar should also be observed if the terminator is too low is very close and the contrast is very large making the record difficult, if too high the smaller craters do not form shadows which also precludes register them. I believe that would be the perfect time with the Sun at an altitude of 30 ° to 45 ° so the contrast is not so great and they still form shadows facilitating uptake .

Thirdly we must give attention to seeing, with a bad seeing any record is virtually impossible for these small craters disappear when the turbulence is strong .

Focus not going to talk because any mistake settles any results !

As a general rule in order to obtain registration striking photo of at least some of them , they would have to be visible briefly during the actual screen capture of the lap top . If so we learn that after the best frames stacked these small craters will show how well occurred in the attached photo .

I hope these tips have some use those like me who like to venture into photography Lunar !
