This one comes with a story...while preoccupied, moving in and out of the basement on a plant watering mission I noticed the skies clearing, I thought about the telescopes and looked at the moon. Having shot the moon ,many times, it dawned on me that it'd be cool to capture the ISS crossing the moon. Maybe some day I thought and dropped the hose, taking another glance up before heading back in. Far to the south I noticed a little red blinking light on a trajectory with the moon. Nah, there's no way I thought but...maybe. I unenergetically headed back in and grabbed the camera, picking up the pace a little as I turned it on heading back out of the basement. I'd been playing with it so settings were off and it was in single shot mode. I didn't even check. I managed to lean against the deck stairway with just enough time to hit the autofocus before snapping a single 1/2000 sec exposure. Nothing particularly brilliant about the picture itself but the guesswork, timing and getting the single shot in focus without any planning and incorrect camera settings was a feat. Look how tiny the moon and airplane are in the original.
