Description

Here is the comet C/2022 E3 ZTF again. It’s known as “Neanderthal comet” because it’s thought to have transited close to the Earth in the Neanderthal age. Now the comet orbit has changed and it’s not expected to return in the Solar System.Pictures were taken on Jan. 27 from 1.00 a.m. until 6.30 a.m. (local time), when the comet had a 5.6 magnitudo and was 51 millions km. far from Earth. The comet coma appeared in the sky as big as the Moon.
