Description

This is a composite of all the meteors that I captured on the early morning of August 13th from 2 a.m. until sunrise. This was taken in a Bortle 4 zone, in Sainte-Marguerite, Beauce (Quebec).

I started the night observing the northern part of of the sky but I noticed that there were way more meteors to the south, so I switched the camera to that side. It was cloudy, but I figured what the heck, let's set the cam on a tripod and take shots with intervalometer while I sleep.

I'm glad I did because it cleared up! Now I was expecting that most of the meteors would radiate from Perseus, but it looks like the ones that I capture didn't get the memo, they are to be going in all direction.I blended all the meteors from 20 different pictures. I also stacked the untracked data that didn't have any clouds to reveal m45 and the California nebula and blended them in the picture.

Comments and feedback are always appreciated!

You can also see the timelapse created using the same data from that night on my ig
