Description

Here we have a try at NGC 7497, a spiral galaxy that appears through some nearby (relatively speaking) galactic cirrus.  This arrangement makes for a very interesting image with the galaxy seemingly emerging from the mist.

This marks a first-light for a new mount, a 10Micron GM1000HPS.  My HDX110  was giving me a lot of trouble and interestingly, Orion will not even talk about it with me since I bought it second hand.  Skywatcher won't help either because it is Orion badged.  Nice... and I will not forget that when it comes time to buy stuff which, as we all know, happens a lot in this hobby.

In any case, the 10Micron is an amazing mount and thank you to @Tim Hutchison  for your help!  The mount simply exudes quality and is simple to install, configure and use.  Fantastic guiding with a 50 point model, just really amazing in all respects.

This image could definitely be better, of course.  I tore down my whole rig to change out the mount and so I did a full on cleaning of the C9.25.  When I re-assembled, I had some spacing issue which did not help matters.  But since corrected.

I hope you like this one, comments and critcism always welcome.  Good health and clear skies to everyone!
