Description

I don't understand why the plate solver only identified two galaxies, NGC 6084 and NGC 6085, but, of course, being an Abell cluster there are far more than 2 galaxies.

Some of the unidentified galaxies are worth a look and I've circled 3 areas in revision B.

(a) Shows two galaxies that appear to be in collision; I think that these are PGC200332 and PGC 200334.
(b) Shows a face on spiral galaxy with two clear arms (PGC 1870013) and an almost face-on spiral galaxy (PGC57444).
(c) Shows another barred spiral galaxy (PGC 57445) with two  long arms that extend to around 180 degrees and show clear blue areas, indicating active star formation. One of the arms is broken or, possibly there are three arms; there is one image on-line (http://cdsportal.u-strasbg.fr/?target=PGC%2057445) that more clearly shows the arms and there appear to be three.

The image was taken using the ASA300 at Roboscope with a ZWO 2600 mm binned 1x1.

"The Abell catalogue is a catalogue of approximately 4,000 galaxy clusters with at least 30 members, of a redshift of z = 0.2. It was originally compiled by the American astronomer George O. Abell in 1958 using plates from POSS, and extended to the southern hemisphere by Abell, Corwin and Olowin in 1987."[1]
