Description

While my C8 was shooting the NGC7331 Group of galaxies, I had my Evolux 82ED shooting the Helix nebula using an L-eXtreme filter with an ASI533MC Pro OSC camera on a GEM28 mount. The Evolux and GEM28 are my travel setup and this was hopefully their final shakedown before hitting the road. The Helix may not be an ideal target for a small refractor but it didn't do too badly. I can only shoot the Helix for about 4 hours per night from my location, and I was able to grab about 7.5 hours of data over two nights. Processed using PixInsight and Affinity Photo. Shot under Bortle 4 skies in the mountains of Colorado, elevation 8400 feet.
