This is a significant image for me for two reasons - not because it's anything spectacular (actually the stars look little wonky if anything) but because I finally made the transition from SG Pro to NINA during the Christmas time and this is the first image captured with NINA. I'm very happy about this change and although SG Pro has served me well through out the years and I have nothing bad to say about it, there really isn't any comparison between these two acquisition programs, so much more evolved is NINA. I tried NINA two years ago when it first came out and figured that an open source program is the way to go (that's a no-brainer) but at that point NINA was missing the sequencer so it didn't serve my needs.
On top of a great program, the activity at NINA discord and the speed new functions and plug-ins are coming are a fresh breath of air and something I'm not used to. If you haven't tried NINA yet, I recommend you do.
The second reason for my happiness is that I finally solved the nagging flat problem I have had for years. And by "I" I mean Adam Block who pointed out that I'm lazy
I've been taking flats only a few times a year and kept wondering why my Lum subs didn't correct properly. Well the reason was as simple as Lum being so much more sensitive that I didn't understand put two plus two together before AB recommended trying to take flats more often. Problem solved...
