Description

One image out of 200 and a Geminids Meteor shows up.
I processed this carefully but with the Canon "Kit" lens the star shapes are not good at all but I was really only interested in capturing the meteors.
This was one night after the peak of the December Geminids shower.
Quite pleased that the main stars of Orion show up together with The Orion and Running man Nebulae.
Also, just a hint of the Flame Nebula and some red where the Horsehead Nebula lives.
It looks as if the neighbour's house is about to be demolished but of course it is quite safe.
I took 20 second exposures at ISO1600 and f4.0 with 25mm fl with a Canon 200D DSLR.
I wonder how long the piece of dust had been floating in space before we smashed into and incinerated it ?
It is mostly orange so possibly a content of sodium.
Enjoyed this one.
